One of the activities I like to do when I am participating in an art show is to work on a small sculpture as people are walking by. It’s a bit of a challenge, as I am often getting up to talk with people, and the clay can be tricky to work with in the outdoors, especially as the sun and the breezes quickly begin drying the clay, but people enjoy seeing me as I work with the clay. This particular little figure was created a little while ago, at the Magnolia Fine Arts Show, in Peachtree City, GA, near to where my studio is based.
(Note that there is a small cosmetic crack in the torso, near the waist. Piece is structurally sound.)
